My son and I have hunted Pecan Creek Ranch for 15 years, it is quite simply the best low-fence hunting I've experienced in the hill country. It is a very family friendly environment. My son was 9 years old on our first year and has basically grown up there, it has become a part of our lives!
We start planning our trip by March for, as he calls it, "the best week of the year". With close access to Llano, at the same time being wild as typical hill country can be, it is the perfect setup for a great hunt and a great time.
As for the bed and breakfast side, we've stayed in the small cottage as well as the main cabin and the accommodations are first class, comfortable enough "for the wives".
Gene and Kip are great hosts and don't be surprised if they show up for dinner! At least they would when their Cajun friends from Louisiana came to town!

Pecan Creek Ranch – Paradise in the Hill Country! I have been whitetail deer hunting on the ranch with our group for several years and my wife accompanies me as a non-hunter. It really is like a vacation for both of us since there are so many other things to do in the area. The hunting is nothing short of spectacular and I have several trophies on our wall to prove it! We prepare our own Cajun food each evening after the hunt, sharing stories over dinner with our group. A very special time!
